Privacy Policy

This is a personal portfolio website. It does not sell anything and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. This page explains the limited personal data that is processed when you visit, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

What is processed

• Server logs: when you load the site, the host automatically records technical data such as your IP address and browser type, which is needed to serve the site securely.
• Contact form: if you write to me, I process the name, email, and message you provide, solely to read and reply to your enquiry.
• Analytics: aggregate, cookieless visitor statistics via Vercel Web Analytics — no cross-site tracking and no individual profiles, so no cookie banner is required.

The legal basis for this processing is my legitimate interest in running a secure site and responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Data is kept only as long as needed for these purposes.

Service providers

The site is hosted on Vercel, and contact messages are delivered by email through Resend. Both may process data in the United States under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these, email hamza.chaouki@tum.de.

Local storage

Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It is strictly functional and is not used to identify you.
